Mr D and I flew home from Genoa at the end of our Italian adventure on BA.
Knowing there would be no catering for me, we packed a picnic from the amazing Farmacia Alvigini shop we found in Genoa. You can read all about this fantastic gluten free shop in Genoa here.
I found this bread:
It was a gluten free brown bread made with olive oil, crammed full of various seeds including poppy and sunflower. The packet said it had been left to rise naturally for 16 hours and it was indeed very springy. The bread was amazingly soft for a packaged bread and it did not require warming before eating.
I picked up this delicious Bresaola in the airport’s Duty Free shop:
Lucky for me I’m going to the Italian Riviera via Genoa next month so I will be stocking up on this bread. Can’t wait!
